Extended information on the use of cookies and tracking technologies

Last updated: July 2026

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that websites save on your device during browsing. They are used to store information that can be retrieved at a later time, for example to remember your preferences or to ensure the proper functioning of the site.

In addition to traditional cookies, the site may use other similar technologies such as localStorage, sessionStorage (local browser storage) and requests to external resources (CDN, fonts) that involve the transfer of the IP address.

2. Cookies and technologies used by GenHub

This site does not use profiling cookies. Below is the complete list:

Technology Type Provider Purpose Data transferred

3. Extra-EU data transfer

Some of the technical services listed above (Google Fonts, WebFont Loader, CDN) involve the transfer of your IP address to servers located in the United States of America. Google LLC adheres to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, recognized by the European Commission as an adequate safeguard for the transfer of personal data to the USA (Adequacy Decision of July 10, 2023).

4. Legal basis

The use of necessary technical technologies is based on the legitimate interest of the data controller (Art. 6, par. 1, lett. f GDPR) to ensure the proper functioning and security of the website. The transfer of the IP to Google Fonts and CDNs is limited to what is strictly necessary for the graphic rendering of the pages.
