GenHub will be available in two distribution modes, so every breeder can choose the one that best fits their needs:

• SaaS (Cloud) — Instant access via browser from any device (PC, Mac, smartphone, tablet). No installation required. All data synced in real time, automatic backups and updates included. Ideal for those who want to start right away without worrying about server management.
• Local (Self-Hosted) — Installation on a Windows, macOS or Linux computer. All data stays on your PC, maximum privacy and control. Designed for breeders who prefer offline management or don't have a stable internet connection. Includes a built-in web server that makes installation simple even for non-tech-savvy users.

Both modes share the same features. The main difference is where your data lives: on the cloud (universal access) or on your PC (maximum control).

The security and privacy of your breeding operation are our absolute priority. We use advanced SSL encryption for all communications. Your data resides on secure cloud servers that are constantly monitored. Additionally, we perform regular automatic backups to ensure that your genealogical records, simulations and subject records are always protected from any unforeseen events.

You are always the owner of your data. You can decide to cancel your account at any time directly from the settings panel. Once cancellation is confirmed, all your breeding data will be permanently removed from our servers, in full compliance with privacy regulations (GDPR). Before proceeding, you will have the option to locally export a backup of your records.
